Pat Coughran Memorial Scholarship
Patrick Coughran was a respected and ardent supporter of youth in agriculture. Pat believed in working hard, being involved in the community, and helping young people develop a passion for agriculture. This scholarship was founded in honor of Pat’s memory and the Gold Country Heritage Foundation is honored to award scholarships to deserving ‘Ag Students’ as a way of preserving his legacy.
Dr. Samia Macon Memorial Scholarship
The Gold Country Heritage Foundation, and their Auburn Aggie Booster Committee are profoundly honored to award scholarships in memory of Dr. Samia "Sami" Macon, a remarkable individual whose kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication left an indelible mark on our community. As a trusted large animal veterinarian and a devoted advocate for youth in agriculture and girls' soccer, Dr. Sami selflessly served on numerous local boards to champion the passions of the next generation. Beyond her exceptional professional expertise, she was a deeply cherished mentor and friend, renowned for her ability to engage in meaningful conversations that inspired everyone she met. Through this scholarship, we proudly carry forward her legacy of leadership, service, and heartfelt community support.
Jack Pchelkin Scholarship
The Gold Country Heritage Foundation is deeply honored to award a scholarship in the name of Jack Pchelkin, celebrating his lifelong commitment to local agriculture and his lasting legacy in our community. As a dedicated FFA teacher at Del Oro High School and a devoted volunteer for countless years at the Gold Country Fair, Jack profoundly impacted the lives of students, parents, and community leaders alike. He also served with distinction as a Director for the Gold Country Heritage Foundation. Through this scholarship, we proudly honor his values and support the next generation of agricultural leaders who share his passion and dedication.
